Our client, based near Bishop’s Stortford in Hertfordshire, comprises a School, College and Residential Care Services providing specialist services for people with severe epilepsy, associated neurological disorders and other complex medical conditions. The Centre established in 1903 and administered by The Daughters of the Cross of Liege, employs in the region of 640 permanent employees and over 100 bank workers in a variety of roles and professions providing care, learning, leisure and work opportunities to vulnerable people of all ages.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainer to join their highly regarded Staff Development team.
The role is perfect for someone who has a genuine passion and love for learning and development. Training delivery makes up the majority of this role and they are keen for someone to join them who can really enthuse and engage with their staff.
Within the role, you will also support the Staff Development Manager in all aspects of training across the centre; coordinating and project managing particular aspects of care and health & safety training, whilst developing new course materials and tailoring workshops as required. Preparing training resources and ensuring rooms are set up and cleared away as necessary, you must ensure completed training paperwork is passed to Training Administrators and deal with any training queries as and when required.
You’ll need to have an up to date knowledge of the social care sector and its regulatory framework and be skilled in training design and delivery for people with a range of learning styles. Candidates must also have an accreditation to deliver a range of care related training such as; food hygiene, first aid, person centred care planning, autism awareness, moving & positioning, and safeguarding. They’d also like someone with prior experience as a social care practitioner however this is not essential.
