Service Delivery Manager - IT

The Service Delivery Managers role is to ensure that all aspects of IT change are properly planned, controlled & integrated across the full spectrum of the systems environment, and that the on-going agreed service levels are achieved both during and after the changes are implemented. The role is very much one of a technology services manager to that of the traditional technology specialist.
Therefore, the key skills required to perform this role are experience of Project Management, Project Resource Planning, Change Control Procedures, Managing Internal & External IT providers & understanding System Requirements Documentation.
Key roles:Responsible for all aspects of ensuring that changes are managed in line with the on-going control & success of production systemsInternal coordination of teams across Development, Operations & ImplementationControl of technical documentation including interfacing.Responsible for performance monitoring/balancing of associated systemsManagement of satellite/replication server recoveryResponsible for management of day to day system support issues – ensuring the correct resources are allocated to ensure resolutionManagement of Database administrationCoordination of all application & server upgradesProject management (as required) for large technical projects that cross internal departmental responsibilitiesInternal testing, UAT preparation (against agreed test plans) and management of pilot and wider releaseControl and administration of all Change Control NotesRelevant experience and references working in this roll and environment are vital. Whilst our office base is in Banbury there is a considerable amount of travelling with this position.
