Senior Support Worker (Residential Care) BLUS12483Based: Horley, SurreySalary: £17,994 per annum (unqualified) £18,494 per annum (with relevant qualifications and experience)37.5 hours per week

Our client is a specialist registered charity supporting people who have multiple disabilities, including visual impairment, learning and physical difficulties, mental health difficulties, acquired brain injury and life limiting conditions. With specialisms acquired over 200 years, they are the leading experts in this field.

They have 7 individuals who have a visual impairment and a range of other disabilities. They require support with day to day tasks to promote their independence in their own home and to access the community.

The Role:

·To work with people who have a visual impairment, learning and additional disabilities.

·To ensure individuals are involved and participate in all aspects of their lives and to promote independence and skills development.

·To continue to provide high professional standards.

·To ensure individual’s physical, emotional, educational and recreational needs are met and influence service delivery.

The Person:

·Enthusiastic and organised with good communication skills.

·Experience of working with people who have a disability

·Experience of working in a supervisory role

·QCF3 in Health & Social care or willing to train towards.

·To be able to use initiative and be flexible.

·To work shifts including sleep-ins, alternate weekends and Bank holidays.

·Commitment to continuous professional development

Satisfactory Enhanced DBS Check required for the above post.
