Aircraft Engineering Technicians (Avionics)
Aircraft Engineering Technicians are part of the Serco RAF Northolt Aircraft Maintenance Section (AMS) which provides Line and Base maintenance for RAF aircraft used by No 32 (The Royal) Squadron.
We currently have fixed-term vacancies (to end Mar 15 but with possible extension) for Aircraft Avionic Technicians to work within the Aircraft Maintenance Section at RAF Northolt (HA4 6NG). The role involves undertaking both Forward (Line) and Depth (Base) maintenance tasks on the BAe125 and BAe146 in accordance with the Military Aviation Authority`s MRP145 Regulations.
- Flight Servicing and maintenance/repair tasks on Aircraft and Avionic Systems. - Working within competencies and company authorisations as agreed with engineering management. - Completion of supporting aircraft documentation in accordance with RAF aviation engineering procedures. - Compliance with ALL Health & Safety, Tool Control and COSSH procedures.
Skills and Experience required:
Essential: - Recognised level of Aeronautical/Avionic engineering training - Demonstrable practical experience in the maintenance of aircraft. - The ability to hold/pass UK SC level security vetting - Flexible/adaptable work ethos working 4 on/4 off shift pattern
Desirable: - Previous experience of working within the MRP145 or Military environment - Type qualification/experience on BAe125/BAe146 aircraft (Highly Desirable). - Full UK driving Licence
