Our client has a fantastic opportunity for a IT Support Engineer with a leading Automotive Company. You will be an essential part of the IT Technical Support team, providing 1st and 2nd Line technical assistance. The purpose of the position is to provide first line support or guidance regarding products and services. In this role you will be answering incoming support calls and be able to accurately identify, diagnose, prioritise and dispatch the service requests. There will be a variety of different issues you will be dealing with from day to day. As the IT Support Engineer you will diagnose desktop/laptop/network hardware and software problems by asking accurate, concise questions in a professional and timely manner. Where appropriate, refer more complex problems to 3rd level support personnel as defined in the help desk business processes. Experience in an ITIL environment and an ITILv3 Foundation certification is desirable, as well as experience with SQL and Virtualisation.Your role will support all identified projects including but not limited to rollouts and upgrades. Manage deliverables associated with a project by prioritizing, tracking, and completing assigned tasks.You will have excellent verbal, telephone and written communication skills. Also, you must have strong organizational, time management and troubleshooting/problem solving skills. They are looking for a good team player but must be able to work well on own initiative.
