An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality engineer who will identify, maintain and recommend quality and business improvement processes within the business required quality approvals.
Key Responsibilities are to:To establish and maintain common Quality systems between Ultra Controls and its' PartnersAssist with the maintenance of company approvals e.g. AS9100, EASA Part 21G & Part 145,FAR 145, etc. to maintain airworthinessEnsure adequate and appropriate Quality records are maintained by the Project Teams and Process ownersIdentify and co-ordinate investigations arising from Quality issues through to their documented conclusion, with supporting root cause analysis and solutions to prevent re-occurrenceDevelop and support a Business Improvement culture and associated activities e.g. Process Mapping, Lean, etc.Verify compliance to company processes and documented procedures to ensure a robust Quality Management system is in place through the businessTo plan, manage and carry out a schedule for Product, Supplier and Process audits. This is to ensure effective systems are in place and are monitored and that activities are completed for corrective and preventative actions throughout the businessSupport in Product Release and First Article Inspection activitiesIdentify and generate process control systems and measuresIdentify and generate process control systems and measuresTo ensure the departmental objectives are achieved in line with the job holders individual objectivesPerform duties in accordance with company policies, procedures and processes
Knowledge, experience and skills required:
Has a proven vast range of Quality/Business Improvement experience in the followingProven experience working within a quality management systemExperience in Aerospace standards (e.g. EASA Part 21, AS9100, etc.)Trained Quality AuditorKnowledge of manufacturing environmentExperience of liaising with internal and external customersGood communication skills demonstrated both verbally and in writing in the form of presentations and recommendations for improvementDemonstrated experience in building good working relationships and gaining trust and respect with internal and external customersSelf-driven and able to monitor own performance effectively to ensure deadlines are metWorks effectively with othersProactively able to manage own work to in order to achieve objectivesUse own initiative within the scope of the rolePlans work and delivers on timeSeeks solutions to problems encounteredMakes timely decisions within the scope of the roleDemonstrates a 'Can do' positive attitudeGood application of Microsoft packages and relevant software for the role
