Document Controller

Our leading client is looking for an experienced Document Control Manager to ensure their vital Document Control Department is working to a high standard.With experience of managing and motivating others you will rise to the challenge of leading a busy team and ensuring the delivery of operational document control and information management services to a range of blue chip clients.We are looking for someone with the technical skills, industry knowledge and interpersonal qualities to embrace this important position. Possess an understanding of information management within the oil, gas and engineeringindustry? Demonstrate strong problem solving and communications skills? Understand the legal and business requirements of documents, including retention anddisposition, and ISO 9001? Be capable of developing procedures and compiling detailed cost, business and activityreports from disperse systems? Have an extensive knowledge of the design, implementation and management of documents,records and information management programs.? Have an established proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and Adobe Acrobat Professional? Work with, and deliver tailored training packages for, various EDMS systems in support of thediverse needs of end users? Liaise with third party contractors to facilitate project close-out? Maintain maximum quality of system data - Create and enforce QA/QC standards andprocedures, perform senior quality checks, report quality problems and work with end users toidentify, verify and correct inconsistencies / inaccuracies. This may include additional trainingand negotiation to gain compliance.? Demonstrate strong data input and analysis skills? Be familiar with intelligent engineering document numbers and equipment tag numbers? Have the ability to learn new skills and adapt to changing workload demandManagerial Skills and Requirements:? Be the focal point for the Document Control Department? Manage the department workload and delegate tasks accordingly? Be a flexible team player with the ability to handle multiple tasks in support of several servicesto multiple clients? Possess the planning and organisation skills required to manage multiple projects andpriorities simultaneously? Be responsible for ensuring the team's obligations are robustly delivered in all aspects ofstandards and quality expectations? Produce and present work estimates (Cost, Time & Resource) for ad hoc client projects asrequired? Drive the recruitment, motivation, performance, appraisal and training of staff within thedepartment? Attend monthly meetings and report to the Senior Management Team? Undertake Monthly Risk Controls and take overall responsibility for the risk framework for theteam? Develop and maintain documentation procedures with current practices in accordance withcompany growth and change requirements.? Ensure that department work is delivered within the defined time frame, being correctlyrecorded and documented.?
