Sheet Metal Fabricator/Welder
A Sheet Metal Fabricator/Welder is required on a permanent basis, primarily to fabricate and weld coded aircraft components.
Responsibilities:?To fabricate and weld aircraft components, working from technical documentation and drawingsTo finish products by grinding and polishing to customers' standardsTo work on own initiative with limited supervision in an accurate and timely manner
The Person:?A time-served Fabricator/TIG Welder with extensive sheet metal experienceAble to read and interpret engineering drawingsExperience of working with aluminium, stainless steel, titanium and nickel alloysExperience in fabricating components to aerospace tolerancesExperience in the use of riveters, presses, drills, grinders and punchesExperience of working in the aerospace industryIdeally, previous experience of working to DS17 aerospace standards
Based in Royston, Hertfordshire, this is a permanent role. The normal working hours are 37.5 per week, including an early finish on a Friday.
The rate of pay on offer is £11.00 to £12.50 per hour, depending on experience.
