Instrumentation / Service Engineer

Halifax based covering UK

Up to £25k Salary + Commission

Smart Storm Ltd design, develop and manufacture ultrasonic measurement systems that are used in the Process and Water industries. We supply and maintain equipment to businesses throughout the UK and have established an excellent reputation. Due to continued growth plans we are delighted to offer the opportunity for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team.


Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be installing, servicing and maintaining trade effluent monitoring equipment in factories. You must be competent with electrical installations, control panel instrumentation and the use of hand and power tools.

Due to the nature of this role you will need to have a full clean UK driving license.


You will be educated to HNC/HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline; The role has genuine promotional and long term career development opportunities. Ideally you will have gained some practical experience of electro-mechanical / electronic equipment or similar and have completed an apprenticeship in an engineering discipline or have some post apprenticeship experience but this is not essential. You will also ideally hold a 17th Edition electrical wiring certificate or equivalent.

You will be self-motivated, professional and confident. You will be able to communicate at all levels, including quick, concise and accurate report writing and have good IT and data analysis skills.
