As an Operations Import Clerk you will be responsible for maintaining the customs processes and procedures within our airhubs ensuring full compliance with all relevant regulations.
Liaising with customs officials, carriers, customers and others in the freight forwarding business, as Operations Import Clerk you will provide a high level of internal and external customer service, including the adherence to Company Policies as well as continuous improvement through ongoing LEAN initiatives.As our Operations Import Clerk your role will be to ensure 100% Customs Compliance, adhering to all HMRC policies and procedures. Key responsibilities will be:To complete customs entries for all consignments To work with customs officials, carriers, customers and others in the freight forwarding business.To be responsible for the process relating to the upload of data to the next gateway destination, for both courier and airfreight flights.Provide a high level of internal and external customer service, including the adherence to the Company Escalation Policy.LTUE monitoring
The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills with a good level of numeracy and literacy. Attention to detail is imperative to ensure compliance to both legislative and company procedures.
