Supply Chain Consultant

I am currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Consultant to join a large automotive corporation based in Oxfordshire. The role is paying up to £45,000 and offers company benefits and car allowance.The main purpose of the role is to contribute to securing profitable new business, as well as delivering consulting and logistics projects to ensure satisfaction of cost, quality and delivery targets.Job Responsibilities:General Supply Chain:Broad experience in supply chain design and transformationOperational understanding/experience within a number of industry sectors, eg. Industrial, Automotive, AerospaceAbility to create a compelling case for changeAbility to manage projects across the supply chainSupply Chain Network Design and Transport PlanningDevelopment of supply chain strategies balancing cost/service needs - global, regional, nationalExperience in network design (e.g. CAST), transport planning (Paragon), data collection and analysisManaging change implementations across the supply chain, ie. infrastructure, systems, peopleWarehouse and Material Handling Systems DesignDesign and implementation of warehouse solutionsExperience of facility automation and technologyKnowledge and experience of design products (e.g., Class)Knowledge of latest legislation with respect to facility designClient FocusRelationship management experience, at all levelsAbility to lead and develop sales opportunities, from initial contact to final delivery Practice DevelopmentExperience within a consulting environment or supply chain development function within an organisationPersonalShow commitment to personal continuous professional development; maintain own personal development portfolio and actively develop own skills and competenciesIn order to be a successful candidate you must have: Supply chain experience at a middle/senior levelGood degree in numerate subject or relevant experienceExperience in managing change if supply chainsPrince II (or similar) project management capabilityExcellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skillsGood working knowledge of me Microsoft Suite of programmes Attention to detailThis role will involve a lot of business travel, so it would require someone who flexible with their working location.
