Children & Family Support Coordinator
My client is looking for a Children and Family Services Co-ordinator, to work within a charity supporting the needs of children with disabilities and their families. They provide rehabilitation, education and therapy in a specialist centre. My clients are currently looking for a new team member who will successfully manage placements within the trust. Duties and Responsibilities of the role; * Co-ordinate the placement within the Trust from initial enquiry, whilst monitoring each child’s progression, and changing needs against the initial referral * You will be required to work systematically setting up electronic new admission files and organising and collating information, assessments, reports and surveys attached to each child’s progression as required. * You will need to closely liaise with key staff members, internal and external stakeholders, and families. * You will be required to organise, arrange, invite, minute take and review meetings with internal and external stakeholders. Secretarial skills are desirable. Organisation skills are essential. * You will be required to liaise with funding authorities regarding each child’s placement and discharge planning. * You will be developing strong relationships with the funding authorities and writing letters of requests in collaboration with Key Staff members. * Following up on funding request decisions and putting into action any results that will follow, keeping accurate records of all communication. * The charity also organises Saturday clubs and Holiday Camps throughout the year, and you will be responsible for sending out relevant information to the families and coordinating dates for children to attend the clubs. * Providing support to the team as required and ensuring cover is provided at all times. * As a children’s charity they are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable people. * You will be required to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role whilst working within the values of the trust: * Caring and Supportive * Positive thinking * Child and family focused * Professional * Collaborative * To have fun!
