Part Time  for Protocol in Impington, Cambridge

ADVERT REFERENCE: KAS-1908435JOB TITLE: Mechanical Engineering LecturerLOCATION: CambridgeSALARY: £20.00-£28.00 per hour (inclusive of preparation & marking), plus Statutory Holiday PayProtocol is working on behalf of an established Further Education College within the Cambridge area and is looking for an outstanding Mechanical Engineering Lecturer to provide immediate short-term absence cover.The Engineering facilities have just undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment and as such, the teaching environment and workshops are now state-of-the-art having opened this new academic year. I am looking for someone to provide cover for 22:00 hours per week, to start as soon as possible up until the end of the academic year (Friday 4th July). There is a possibility that these hours may be available in the new academic year, commencing in September. This is yet to be confirmed.Timetable is as follows:Mon: 09:00-10:30Tues: 09:00-10:30; 10:30-12:00; 13:00-14:30; 14:30-16:00; 16:30-18:00Wed: 09:00-10:30; 10:30-12:00; 13:00-13:30; 13:30-15:00; 15:00-17:00; 17:00-18:30Thurs: 14:00-15:00; 15:00-16:30; 16:30-17:00Fri: 09:00-10:30 These sessions are a mix of practical machining skills and theory. Classes include: Mechanical Systems, Mechanical Principles, Fluid Mechanics, Engineering Science, Further Electrical Principals, Engineering Fundamentals and Electrical & Electronic Principles.Schemes of Work are already in place and lesson plans should also be available - you may be required to undertake some marking of student work.I am looking for individuals with a recognised teaching qualification and prior teaching experience in this field. You will also need to have a degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, such as an Advanced Craft Award in Engineering or a related subject in addition to up-to-date industry competency.You should be familiar with Mechanical Engineering practices, including but not limited to CNC; Milling / Turning / Grinding; General Maintenance.
