Representations and Appeals Officer
Strategic Commissioning - Parking are part of the Regeneration, Economic Development and Environment department. We are recruiting to the position of Representations and Appeals Officer.
This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to help shape the delivery of the Parking service, support the Council’s traffic management objectives and in doing so making a contribution to the success of this vibrant and diverse borough.
You will work within a highly motivated and specialised team and will preferably have experience in the Parking sector.
They will be responsible for investigating and responding to Representations, Appeals and other correspondence received at all stages of the statutory process in regards to Penalty Charge Notices (PCNS). These functions will be carried out in line with Hounslow policies, procedures and any legislative responsibilities
You will have expertise with a variety of IT packages, including Microsoft Office, excellent oral and written communication skills, a good understanding of Parking, Moving Traffic and Bus Lane legislation and related regulations and orders required for this position.
You will be able to work under pressure and deal with high volumes of correspondence, as well as responding to enquiries, service requests and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. Therefore self-motivation and a flexible and professional attitude towards your work are essential.
