Our Industry Roundtables (IR) team is composed of industry experts that facilitate information sharing among clients by combining peer-to-peer interaction with meaningful data analytics. The Associate position presents a unique opportunity to gain significant exposure to a variety of consumer banking functions and work on topics important to the major lenders in the industry. He/she is encouraged to take the initiative to improve processes and to make an impact early on. The position is responsible for supporting the Director in planning and managing multiple Industry Roundtables, and is expected to coordinate all activities from benchmark survey initiation to the creation of final reports or presentation slides, and deliver final communications in a clear, concise and compelling manner. We’re looking for someone who can apply retail banking experience to all aspects of meeting reports and benchmark surveys, has the ability and willingness to roll up their sleeves and get things done, and ultimately become a role model to future IR Associates

This is a broad and varied role which will suits someone who is a self-starter with excellent research & analytical skills. As this role will involve extensive interaction with external clients, you will need to be a confident individual, capable of communicating well with clients both in person / face -to- face and over the phone / via email.

Key responsibilities will include:

Research Research topics Conduct research on prospective participants Conduct competitive analysis and market researchManage the end-to-end performance benchmark survey process for each Roundtable:Encourage engagement through the use of ad hoc surveysProactively research topics of interest for each of the groupsRespond to participants' requests for ad hoc surveysCreate, distribute, and modify the ad hoc surveys to clientsCalibrate questions to ensure consistent responses Client ManagementManage specific meeting related duties including supporting the Director in developing the meeting agendaLead the process to create benchmark surveys based on key metrics relevant to participantsCoordinate agenda calls/meetings and onsite management of the meeting logisticsReview notes and synthesize into a detailed report of the discussion (report writing)Participate in client relationship management and attend / support sales calls/meetingsAssist in sales opportunities

Experience / skills required:

You must be a native English speaker or fluent in English to native level and possess the following skills / experience:

Strong research and analytical skills (track record of carrying out competitor research, customer insight, market intelligence etc)-this can come from an-house / client-side role or from a research agency / strategy consultancy environmentExperience in Credit Cards, Consumer Finance or Retail Financial Services is requiredStrong writing skills -experience of business writing eg. writing reports or presentationsConfident communicator (strong verbal-face to face and via the telephone and strong written communications skills essential as this role will have a strong client facing element)Experience that demonstrates the ability to manage and prioritise multiple projectsStrong work ethicAbility to work independentlyUndergraduate degree requiredExperience in consulting desirableProficient in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Word, PowerPoint and ExcelInterpersonal and relationship management skillsSelf-motivatedCollaborativeExtremely detail oriented with high quality standardsExperienced self-starter
