Job Title: Duty Manager

Location: Lutterworth Swimming Pool, Lutterworth, Leicester

Contract: Permanent full time position working 40 hours per week on a 3 week rota.

Lutterworth Swimming pool are currently looking to recruit a Duty Manager to work on a full time permanent contract. The Duty Manager will be working on a 3 week rolling rota- Monday- Sundays which will include early and late shifts, weekends and bank holidays.

The role of the Duty Manager is to act as an interface between customers and staff to ensure that the service delivery and safety meet the required standards. As a Duty Manger you must be able to react rapidly and effectively to any operational or customer satisfaction issues which occur during the hours in which the swimming pool is open to the public.

Job Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Policies and Procedures and all other legislative requirements pertinent to the site.Lead, direct and motivate the operational team to ensure a quality service deliveryEnsure approriate deployment of staff to meet the daily programManage and administer the discipline, grievance and appeals proceduresEnsure the collection and interpretation of appropriate information to enable community customer feedbackCoordinate and preparation of shift, daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as determined by SLIMS on financial requirementsWorking closely with the Swim Co-Ordinator for the development of the Swim Life Programme..Responsibilty for training (and recording) for Lifeguards.Coordinating the H20 Pool Timetable during Term time and Holidays.Responsible for Casual income, Pool Hire and liaising closely with schools/Clubs.Responsible for clenliness, cleaning, equipment and other items relating to the operation of poolside.

Skills and Experience:

Knowledge or working within the leisure industry is essentialRelevant knowledge of Health & Safety legislationCustomer care and staff supervisory skills are essential

Qualifications:

Duty Managers must be qualified to NVQ or ISRM standards in supervisory skillsHold an ISRM Pool Plant Operators Certificate and be qualified in First Aid and hold a NPLQ qualification (where applicable)Experience of facility management at a supervisory levelExperience of working with and/or implementing management systemsWorking knowledge of Health & Safety at Work legislation and practical applicationExperience of supervisory training in leisure or service led background
