Senior Operations Manager
Start Date: January 2015
Reporting to: Operations Director
Probation Period: Three months
Holidays: Three months
Role Profile:Where appropriate work with the Credit & Risk Department to assist with the review of SME applications, making balanced sanction f dedi recommendations to the underwriter;Effectively manage the documentation process to ensure optimum customer experience;Identify missed payments and escalate as appropriateManage the collections team for initial contact with clients who have missed payments tracking the outcomes as necessary;Monitor covenants and other information requirements as detailed in the credit sanction; Escalate any breaches;Ensure that the data used by the firm to assess its risks is fit for purpose in terms of quality, quantity and breadth;Support Risk, Credit and other members of the team undertaking ad-hoc analyses;Contribute to the development of appropriate underwriting standards in respect of STWC.Review the servicing and collections processes and strategies, making recommendations for the benefit of the bank and its customers.Manage underwriting queries, resolution of issues and decision in principle for new Short Term Working Capital cases prior to and during processingAssist in the creation, development and maintain technical training & material that supports delivery of our Short Term Working Capital underwriting visionAssist in the creation of propositions which are as simple as possible that meet customer needs with Corporate & Speciality Risks, Intermediary and PartnershipsOrganise, manage and control operations team;Own and manage the Risk & Control Assessment keeping it up to date and covering all existing and emerging operational risks;Prepare a schedule for and carry out 1st LoD controls testing and assist the 2nd Lod with their Assurance Testing program.Prepare and provide management reporting across a wide range of topics;Deliver world class service at optimum cost through the application of principles of 'best in class' operating principles;Provide passionate intelligent leadership and a winning mentality in order to establish a vibrant, exciting, high performance culture. This will be characterised by highly motivated, capable and engaged peopleSupport planning, performance monitoring & reporting.Build effective working relationships with key stakeholders including risk functionsUse underwriting knowledge to effectively improve processes/procedures.Comply with key regulatory and risk management responsibilitiesEnsure that customers are treated fairly in accordance with standards and maintain high service levels to both internal and external customers.Carry out accountabilities and objectives within the framework of conduct risk and TCF.To apply, click on the 'Apply' button below.
