Job Title: Shift Engineer (Mechanical Bias) Reporting To: Shift Leader Job objectives and responsibilitiesResponsible for all and any QHSE aspects within remitDay to day operational responsibility and ownership for PPM / Reactive tasks assigned by the Shift Leader / SupervisorParticipate in a 24/7/365 4 on 4 off days / nights shift patternAssist the Site Supervisor for statutory, mandatory and contract compliance under their controlMain dutiesTo take ownership of all planned and reactive maintenance tasks (direct and sub-contracted) assigned whilst on shift.To support the operational delivery of all planned tasks required to ensure statutory, mandatory and contract compliance in accordance to SLA and KPI requirementsResponsible for complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements; legislative, statutory, company or clientTo be the Authorised Person (LV & HV) and to manage/own the company Safe System of WorkParticipate in a 24/7/365 4 on 4 off days / nights shift pattern and be available to cover holiday shifts.To assist with the activity of specialist service partners, delivering services on behalf of the company; ensuring all health, safety and environmental requirements are adhered to. Including, but not limited to, a required safe system of work is complied with, site and task specific risk assessments and method statements are submitted and reviewed and that all required personal protective equipment is utilised and worn at all appropriate timesTo support full compliance with the ROH contract service schedule; carrying out periodic audits and inspections to ensure appropriate standards have been met and that all PPM and reactive tasks have been completed within the time allocatedDeputise for the Shift Leader where necessaryCarry out any reasonable request which relates to Building Services.Person SpecificationCompletion of a recognised Mechanical apprenticeship and/or equivalent training scheme and significant practical experience within relevant sector (essential a minimum of 5 years post training)QHSE management qualification; IOSH working safely essential IOSH managing safely desirableComputer literate (MO) and familiar with CAFM operation and functionality (including via PDA)Can contribute to low level reportingOrganisational and planning skills essentialSelf-motivated and proactive; takes ownership of tasksCustomer care/relationship building skillsHVAP 15 course would be an advantage but not a requirement.Excellent oral and written communications skillsAbility to embrace change successfullyApply If you are interested then please contact Cameron on 01489 232080 or email me directly at
