MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Working for a Blue Chip Company

1. Picking:

Assembly of cages safely and efficiently.Order picking to challenging productivity and accuracy targetsMarshalling of goods to assist and improve the loading activities

2. Loading/unloading:

The safe loading of multi-temperature vehicles for timed DeliveriesLoading/unloading to challenging productivity and accuracy targetsStrip out trailers/vehicles in preparation for loading and/or servicingSegregate all damaged cages for repair

3. Goods In:

Ensure the safe and accurate receipt of palletised and containerised GoodsBe the ‘Quality’ champion for inbound goodsThoroughly document and communicate all inbound issues effectively

4. Replenishing:

Ensure pick faces are kept safe and maintain the correct stock levelsEnsure your activities contribute to the departments performance

5. Audits:

Undertake or contribute to various Quality, Safety and Stock audits as required

6. MHE:

Operate various MHE safely, effectively and efficiently as required

7. Training and Development:

Take part in various Training and Development activities as required

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a physically demanding multi-temperature Fast Moving Commercial Goods environment along with a Reach Fork Truck Licence/Counterbalance Licence. They will have a positive ‘can do’ attitude and be flexible in their approach to work. Safety will be their number one priority and they will contribute in a positive way to the overall performance of the business in particular the Key Performance Indicators and the Business Imperatives

Shift patterns 06.00-14.00 (£8.88 per hour), 14.00-22.00 (£9.40 per hour), 22.00-06.00 (£9.94 per hour)

All positions are for weekend working with a set 2 days off in the week
