Financial and Systems Controller

Permanent  for Pinnacle Furniture LLP in Crawley

Pinnacle Furniture require an experienced systems/project accountant, either part or fully qualified, to run a busy finance department in a rapidly expanding SME.

The financial responsibilities include management/supervision of the finance department, setting and reporting against KPI’s and reporting to senior partners.

The role would include producing forecasts and budgets, managing implementation of the budgets through the company and cash flow reporting and budgeting. Analysis is a key area of the role and will include variance reporting against overheads, sales, GP and specific projects/products. Production of monthly management accounts, project costings, forecasts, review of major activities generating costs/revenues and other financial reporting for the senior partners is a key function of the role.

The role involves a strong systems, processes and IT element including overall responsibility for the ongoing development and maintenance of our systems & processes, involving our ERP system. This would mean working alongside other head of departments to ensure that each stage of process is kept up to date and any problems are identified and resolved.

Reporting throughout the company is integrally tied to the ERP system and the role would include implementation and design of reports from the system for various departments and management.

The successful candidate will have for strong IT skills particularly in MS Excel, previous systems knowledge, experience in project costing and work-in-progress accounting. Good interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem solving skills.

Various administrative functions do fall within the job role such as insurance.

Remuneration is circa 48k plus inclusion in the company bonus scheme and other negotiable benefits.
