Salary range £29,023 - £36,543 per annum (pro rata for part time post)
We are looking to recruit two experienced, qualified Building Surveyors with experience in the repair and maintenance of a range of commercial and public properties including community centres, offices, industrial units, car parks, heritage properties and Grade 1 and 2 historic buildings.
Working for the Council you will deliver projects from initial feasibility stage to project delivery in line with our corporate objectives.
You should have considerable experience of specifying, tendering and managing planned and reactive building maintenance, the preparation and contract management of capital projects, specification writing, contract management and budgetary control.
You will also have experience of arranging compliance audits for fire, asbestos and access. Experience of local authority management of assets, Microsoft Project and CAD skills would be beneficial. An appropriate building surveying qualification to degree standard is required together with excellent communication skills and report writing.
