Junior Business Finance Analyst

Based in South West London.

We are an AIM listed gaming company with net revenue in excess of £28m currently recruiting for an ambitious dynamic individual to fill a position within our busy finance department. Reporting to the Management Accountant this person should be highly motivated and have the ability to work concisely, independently and with flexibility. This role is a new position and will work closely with the Management Accountant assisting with internal, and external, reporting and analysis to meet the business’ demands. The candidate should have strong numerical and analytical skills, must be highly proficient with MS Office Excel and have good interpersonal skills as the job involves communicating with members of their own team and other departments.

Key Responsibilities

·Understanding of revenue generating processes

·Recognition and monthly reconciliation of customer balances and associated journal postings

·Preparation of weekly payment processor reconciliations

·Marketing analysis: reconciliations of affiliate balances and balance corrections, generating invoices and analysis within management accounts to be presented to the Board of Directors

·Updating of customer retention analysis reports to feed into revenue forecasts

·Assistance with preparation of monthly statements for key revenue partners

·Preparation of monthly management schedules including detailed analysis of key costs, revenue and variance analysis

·Preparation of schedules for use in business partnering meetings to discuss and understand variances to budget

·Assisting in the scoping, design and implementation of management reports to enable decision making

·Ad-hoc reporting and analysis

-analysis of key players’ activity

-monitoring of TV show performance

-analysis of player betting behaviour

-review of player sign ups around certain advertisement campaigns

Essential Candidate Requirements

·High numeracy skills and strong analytical skills

·The candidate should be comfortable working with large datasets and be able to identify and extract relevant information when required

·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and oral). The candidate will be required to communicate and work with staff throughout the business at all levels and with third-parties.

·The candidate must have good time keeping skills and be efficient in order to meet deadlines around month and year end

·The candidate must be flexible in their work schedule in order to meet the demands of the business

·Excellent understanding of MS Office Excel and working knowledge of Outlook and Word. The knowledge of MS Office Excel must include understanding of tools such as lookups, pivot tables and conditional functions and the application of advanced modelling techniques

The ideal candidate would have the following skills:

·Mathematics/ science based degree/ A-Levels

·Exposure to SQL would be desirable but not essential

·Able to take on board tasks and produce high quality work in a timely and accurate fashion

·Experience using Sage accounts

·Understanding of Debits, Credits and accounting treatment

·Positive attitude

·An interest in Gambling, Television and Media
