Recruitment Officer / Outreach Worker

Permanent  for KTS Training in Bristol

This job is in the Study Programme department of KTS Training (2002) Ltd recruiting young people aged 16-19 mainly from the NEET group for our 5 centres in Kingswood, Southmead, Yate, Town Centre and Fishponds.

The majority of time will be spent in the community, engaging young people in a variety of settings and working with support/referral agencies, giving presentations etc on KTS services.

Recruitment Officer - Job Summary:

Working to challenging targets to engage with young people aged 16-19 who are currently not in education, employment or training through outreach in a variety of settings. It will also involve contact with schools, local authorities, YOT and a wide range of other support and referral services for young people keeping them informed about our training programmes. Liaising with young people recruited/tutors etc. giving support to ensure they are progressing and achieving in the first few months.

Recruitment Officer - Job Content:

The majority of time will be spent on outreach in Bristol and South Gloucestershire. The focus being on ‘NEET hotspot’ areas in particular, engaging young people who are not currently involved in education or employment. This may involve evening and weekend work as required.

Arranging interviews with the interview team.Completing all relevant paperwork.Community ProfilingWorking closely with support/referral agencies to ensure fully informed on all KTS services.Giving presentations to management/staff at their premises and also to schools, youth centres and other organisations working with young people.Working with young people /tutors and placement executive in the first 8 weeks to ensure learner is settling in/progressingReviewing targets/actual weekly/monthlyMaintain company procedures and policies at all times.Other duties, commensurate with the post may be required from time to time to ensure the successful operation of the company.

Recruitment Officer - Performance Standards:

Maintenance of standards set by KTS and by the EFA (Education Funding Agency)All aspects of administration must be completed accurately and on time.Representing the company in a professional manner and able to give presentations at all levels

Recruitment Officer - Knowledge and Experience:

Experience of dealing with challenging young people age 16+ preferably in ‘outreach’ contextKnowledge of Bristol and South Gloucestershire area, preferably in settings where young people may gather. Good ICT skills, marketing experience preferredAble to maintain quality paperworkAdvice and Guidance qualification at level 3 or aboveKnowledge/understanding of schools, support and referral agencies including LPW, local authorities,YOT etc. and confident to present services of KTS to management and staff of these organisations.Car owner driver essential
