Permanent  for Hydra Tight in Wednesbury

Business Contribution:

Sources capable individuals for management, staff and hourly paid positions for the Energy Segment of Actuant comprising currently 3 businesses: Hydratight, Cortland and Viking.

Key Responsibilities:

Processes internal appointment requisitions through Open Hire ensuring all relevant details are contained within the requisition including market pay data and the appropriate approval levels are set.Updates the recruitment tracker to record open and filled roles and provide regular updates.Provides regular updates to hiring managers and HR team members on the current status of every open role.Prepares and issues internal role advertisements on the ATU HUB and Company intranets and updates these on a regular basis.Uses external hiring services (including but not limited to Linked In, web based job sites) to post open positions and manage applications.Restricts the use of external recruitment agencies except for senior or specialized roles and only with the permission of the relevant Business HR Leader. Conducts CV screening to provide candidate shortlists to hiring managers and HR team members.Conducts initial phone screening where appropriate and required.Contacts recruitment sources and develops a strong network of contacts and negotiates favorable payment terms on agency/advertising fees.Monitors the receipt of CVs and applications ensuring the criteria of the job requirements have been met.Arranges interviews and conducts first stage interviews (where required).Conducts appropriate psychometric testing of applicants.Prepares and issues job descriptions.Liaises with appropriate HR contacts re preparing Offers of Employment and Contracts.Ensures compliance with all relevant legislation with respect to recruitment and selection.Develops general HR skills and knowledge so able to assist in wider HR role within region.Ensures that equality of opportunity is available to all existing and prospective employeesPromotes and supports the Company’s HSSEQ and LEAD programs at all levels in the businessEnsures own and others’ compliance with all Company standards, policies and procedures

Required Capabilities

Minimum 2 years’ experience in recruitment role in private industry, industrial background preferredGood standard of education - professional qualification in HRM preferredPrevious experience of working across multi site locations and international recruitment experience a distinct advantageWilling and able to travel probably 10% of working timeDemonstrated ability to recruit and effectively fill positions at all levels in a timely/cost-effective mannerAbility to communicate (oral and written) succinctly and professionally Sound working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Fluency in English, Dutch – German an advantage for EMEAI based roleProven organizational ability.
