Medical Device Mechanical Production Engineer – Oxford
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is currently working as a mechanical / manufacturing production engineer with hands on production equipment installation, commisoning and validation (IQ, OQ and PQ), experience to join a fast growing medical / biotech device manufacturing company based in Oxford.
Your role as a Mechanical Production Engineerwill involve leading manufacturing engineering support activities to define and develop the production assembly and overall production process. This will include taking a lead role in the product and process validation, planning and execution of qualification / validation and participation in the design and implementation of production assembly fixtures.
Duties and responsibilities include:Manufacturing engineering support for product transfer into manufacturing.Production problems / deficiencies and problem solving.Create and maintain controlled documentation such as; Process Flows, Process and Tool drawings, Process Routers, Bills of Materials, Work and Inspection Instructions.Optimising the manufacturing processes - improving efficiencies, reducing wastage, enhancing yield and reducing cost. Manufacturing and development support for existing processes and for new products, product changes, line extensions and enhancements.Participation in the design, construction, and validation of tooling manual, semi-automated, and automated assembly fixtures.Responsible for design, implementation and qualification of new or modified manufacturing and test equipment by identifying the best design option to achieve the specified requirements and implementation dates.

Experience in a manual cell manufacturing environment where lean initiatives have been practiced. Experience with automating and semi-automating manufacturing processes for medical products. Experience establishing and validating pilot production lines. Experience in performing FMEA's, verifications and validations for medical devices products and processes.
