Business Development Manager

Permanent  for Anonymous Recruiter in Merseyside

The business is a family centric company that has a 33 year history and a very high reputation for delivering good affordable housing in a professional manner. Delivering approximately 100 new homes per annum across 4 or 6 sites at any one time the company covers the South Lancashire, Merseyside, Greater Manchester and Cheshire region.?

Due to restructuring we are looking for an individual with demonstrable experience to grow our business in the Affordable Housing new build sector.

In addition to promoting our business and seeking new opportunities, the individual will also ensure that we have the accreditations, systems and procedures in place to both win and support a new client base whilst continuing to work smoothly with our existing partners.

The role includes the following responsibilities

Negotiation with clients and their representatives, adjudicating tenders and providing commercial support to operations.Maintaining and improving relationships with existing clients whilst establishing new clients and new business opportunitiesMedium and long term planning with significant input into the company direction.Reviewing past performance to ensure continual improvementEnsuring the image of the business is promoted in the right way to obtain the opportunities that will secure profitable growth.

Reporting to the Managing Director you would have input into planning for the future of the company and its employee’s. The company has ambition to achieve profitable growth and the successful candidate would have the skills and attributes that would help realise this.

As a senior figure within the business you would be working closely with fellow senior managers to provide a holistic construction operation. Therefore good communication and interpersonal skills are essential. The right individual will have an excellent communication style and the ability to work well with different personalities. Candidates should be driven and self-motivated as they will play a key role in driving the company to achieve its future aims and objectives.
