Business Development Manager - Telecoms
My client, a UK leader within telecommunications and office solutions requires a tenacious, and solutions focused Business Development manager to grow existing business, and develop new client business throughout Merseyside.
Key Accountabilities • Devise a strategy for targeting your agreed market, sector or region • Research and form suspect/prospect lists within the defined target markets • Work with in house marketing, telemarketing and product specialist teams to develop effective propositions that address customer needs • High contact of target market via different means to create frequent new appointments • Build a strong pipeline of at least 3;1 ratio opportunity against target • Pro-actively promote all products and services of Intercity Telecom Ltd • Follow up on referrals and any new leads provided • Update the CRM system with all activity and complete other ad hoc reports on request • Complete and present opportunity plans internally at director level
As a BDM for my client, you will be offering your B2B clients Mobile solutions, IP PBX and Hosted Telephone Systems, SIP, VoIP, Fixed voice, Hosted Exchange, Leased Line, Ethernet, DSL, MPLS. You may not have experience across all of these currently, as my client is happy to invest training for you, although your understanding of some telecoms products, and your ability to take on board new technical products will be required. You will also hold: • Possess demonstrable experience of managing a complete sales cycle form opportunity creation to completing a sale within the B2B environment • Be confident in conversing with and presenting to senior management and directors • Proven track record of consistently achieving new business targets • Able to network effectively, identify opportunities, close deals, and effectively manage the after-sales process, build strong internal and external relationships • Have a confident, friendly outgoing personality and be a good team player • Display hunger, enthusiasm, motivation and passion to succeed • Good Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure on multiple, concurrent projects to meet internal and external stakeholder expectations/deadlines • Strong communication skills ability to present findings/results in a clear, consistent manner • Good proposal writing and presentation skills. • Driving Licence • Strong MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, CRM skills
