Area Sales Manager

We are the largest Access and Automation Company in the UK supplying substantial range of entry products from electric gate equipment and car parking barriers, through to network controlled door access and Intercom products to a wide variety of customers throughout the UK. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of our parent company Came Cancelli an Italian family owned manufacturer with in excess of forty years of access automation experience.

A recent vacancy has arisen for a committed territory sales manager to manage, a territory covering the West Midlands and Wales area.We strive to provide exceptional service to our customers and are looking to find a like-minded sales professional who shares this ethos.


You must be living within the West Midlands area preferably within easy reach of the M5 corridor, you must be flexible and in order to plan effective management of the territory, have a good geographic appreciation of the area. You will be motivated, capable of succeeding with minimal supervision and hungry to earn. You must have a demonstrable record of achievement, ideally in a related industry but we strongly believe in employing for attitude and training for skills.

The territory

The territory will cover an area from Shropshire to South Wales and includes the greater West Midlands from North of Birmingham through Worcester, Bristol and West and Central Wales. The area has been growing rapidly and provides an excellent opportunity to assume responsibility for an established area in this fast developing industry. Additional recently introduced product ranges offer further tremendous growth prospects for the right candidate.

The Role

The role has two distinct elements Firstly to increase sales of Gate automation equipment and secondly to develop sales of the door entry and access control products. The customer base therefore can vary dramatically from a direct gate installer whose business may be a one man, home based operation where automation plays a critical role in the viability of their business to larger enterprises where door entry and access control products may represent one of several disciplines in which the company is involved. The extensive nature of the territory will involve staying away from home on occasions for which all expenses will be paid. To make travelling as comfortable and safe as possible a good quality fully expensed company car will be provided along with all the necessary communication tools expected in a modern sales environment.

You would be expected to work in a structured manner following set procedures and activities such as…

·4 days in the field with 1 day for admin and appointment making per week taken at our office in Nottingham

·Bi-monthly attendance at head office for sales meetings

·Timely diary reporting

·Sufficient productivity levels

·Achieving fiscal targets

·Making own appointments

·Sourcing new customers

With such a large prospect database to approach we offer a substantial back office function with dedicated internal sales supports, an in house marketing department, a comprehensive training programme and a settled, experienced and approachable sales team all of which aims to provide you with the greatest chance of success.
