Piping Field Engineer

Contract  for Asset Appointments in Teesside

We are working with a well known offshore fabrication company who are looking for an experienced Piping Field Engineer to fulfil a contract which is expected to complete in June 2015. This role requires an assertive person with a ‘can do’ attitude who is also prepared to work ‘hands on’ on the module. The Piping Field Engineer controls engineering within the piping discipline inclusive of subcontractor management and mechanical completions.

Responsibilities will include:

• Liaise with the Client with regard to pipe engineering. • Attend meetings relating to pipe engineering. • Liaise with other discipline specialists to ensure that a fully integrated detailed design is achieved. • Control engineering within the discipline: drawing control and approval, interdiscipline checks and document distribution. • Monitor subcontractor progress and work with the Project Manager and Head of Planning to achieve the project plan. • Raise and answer site queries. • Instruct the subcontractor via the Project Manager concerning design changes and requests. • Control and monitor other discipline engineers where appropriate. • Forward and action site instructions. • Punch out completed works and coordinate close out. • Contribute to project approach on final construction sequences and breakdown. • Review and approve final an system handover documentation packages.

Package Details:

This role is available on a contract basis –Limited Company Contractor Client specified maximum hourly rate £26.00 Available for immediate start.

Requirements:

Piping or Material Science qualifications SHE 3 years engineering experience in the construction industry IT literate Safety awareness
