Head of Building Services
We’re looking for an experienced Head of Building Services to work at London’s most exciting entertainment venue. You’ll be responsible for maintaining The Hippodrome, an iconic Grade II listed building of 85,000 sq. foot, to meet the high standards and expectations of our 33,000 customers that walk through our doors weekly.
Your main responsibilities will include:Overseeing day to day works and preventative maintenance, ensuring any issues are dealt with and resolved quickly and efficiently;Taking ownership of operational maintenance and new projects;Providing support to the management of the operation offering facilities management for the Company;Organising and creating an effective business support service;Working within a highly regulated sector; andSupporting and maintaining implementation of best practice initiatives in health and safety standards.
Is this you?
Someone with:A degree or similar qualification in either electrical, mechanical or building services engineering;NEBOSH or similar level of health and safety qualification;Previous experience maintaining a building or estate of similar size and complexity, which is open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week;The ability to manage a team to respond quickly and efficiently to immediate maintenance concerns;Experience of managing new projects;An understanding of budgets; andExceptional high standards with an excellent eye for detail.
It is essential that you are a natural leader and motivator with excellent communication skills.
To work at the Hippodrome, you also need to be:Eligible to work in the UK;Flexible and able to work shifts to cover a business operating twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week;A confident self-starter who enjoys a challenge;Hard working and efficient.
