Quality Manager is required to join a well-established manufacturing and engineering business. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing manufacturer of machined components, who supply into a number of key industry sectors to include: Automotive, Petro-Chemical, Utilities, Healthcare, Environmental and more. This is varied and challenging role, with the initial focus relating to the implementation and upkeep of TS 16949 standards. Salary circa £33,000 to £38,000 per annum depending on experience.
You will lead a small team within the quality department and your key responsibilities will include:Achieve quality standards as agreed with the customer and internal processesImplement and work to relevant industry standards such as TS 16949, ISO 9001 and ISO 13485Analyse performance, providing ideas for continuous improvementCo-ordinate and organise regular quality processes to ensure training and products are up to scratchPrepare, monitor and analyse all KPIsUpdate and maintain all necessary documentation with changes to processCommunicate regularly with production, working in line with specific guidelines and budgetCo-ordinate the daily work of the Quality departmentManage the company Health & Safety
To be successful in the role of Quality Manager, you may have previously worked as a Senior Quality Engineer, CMM Engineer, Quality Engineer, Chief Inspector or Calibration Engineer and have previously held supervisory or managerial responsibilities. You will possess the following qualities:Proven experience as a Quality Engineer / Manager with knowledge of SPC, FMEA, PPAP and 8DBackground in Automotive sector or similar, and/or pharmaceutical, utilities and healthcare Ideally having worked with and/or implemented TS16949 or similar standardsExperience of machined components / turned parts or similar is essentialHands on metrology knowledge, ideally having used both manual measurements and CMM equipment would be advantageousKnowledge of Kaizen, and ideally having supported a NPI process, including APQPProactive with clear and confident communication skills, able to liaise and build rapport easily with both internal and external clientsHands on, keen to work in a smaller business and assist with business growth
This position is based in Redditch and is easily commutable from Birmingham, Bromsgrove, Alcester, Studley, Droitwich, Kidderminster, Worcester, Warwick, Stratford Upon Avon and Evesham.
