The role

This is a brand new role working as part of the senior management team where you will be responsible for assisting with the running of technical delivery departments to achieve growing client expectations of quality and schedules.

This will include working with stakeholders across the organisation which includes the Senior Management Team, Client Engagement, Project Management, Help desk, Database Development and Campaign Services teams.

It is an excellent opportunity to grow, manage and develop a skilled and talented team.

You will have most of the following skills and experience:

A detailed knowledge of technical software/solution implementation and delivery is required.A high level of experience in managing operational delivery projects and tasks, having demonstrated delivery and implementation of processes, efficiencies, quality and on time delivery.Experience working in a technical / digital /data organisation.Experience with marketing communication technology, data will be an advantage.

You will be responsible for the following:

Work with the management team to ensure business impacts requirements are understood and short, medium and long term planning is in place.Work with the management team to ensure operational activities are implemented in line with process and policy within expected timescalesMonitor, report and communicate team utilisation figures to ensure capacity and resourcing is adequate according to defined thresholdsLiaise with project owners to assess and report project metrics relating to operational team performance, as part of a cycle of continual improvement.Assess team individual skills and training requirementsReviews with resources to help them achieve business objectives and career ambitionsAssist management team with interviews and candidate selectionProvide initial escalation point from the First Line Management team to manage operational conflicts and incidents.Co-ordinate and communicate improvements between support and development functions to ensure robust business function and ongoing cycle of improvement

Benefits

The Operations Manager will offer the opportunity to earn between: £70,000 - £80,000 (plus excellent benefits)
