Quantity Surveyor (Rail)
Our client, a leading Construction Consultancy practice has an immediate requirement for a Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their office in Manchester on a long term freelance basis to work on a rail framework. The successful candidate will work closely with the end user to deliver the next phase of a long term programme, based on the NEC form of contract.
Our Client offers consultancy services at project feasibility stage, during the procurement phase, throughout the design and construction process and at project closeout. They offer commercial and contractual administration services to support their Clients throughout the project, with expertise in standard and bespoke forms of contract.
Candidates must have QS experience working with Infrastructure projects. Experience of working with light/heavy rail would be extremely advantageous.
This phase of the project is predominantly post contract.
Your role and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
·Pricing compensation events
·Doing the monthly CVR
·Main and subcontract administration
·Cost value management
This role requires the following criteria:
·A degree within a relevant discipline would be advantageous.
·Light/Heavy rail experience is ideal. However, highways & infrastructure experience will also be considered with a strong understanding of the NEC form of contract.
·Contract Administration experience.
·Main contractor or PQS background.
