An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Coordinator to join our Production and Despatch Department on a permanent basis.
The Production Coordinator will provide economical planning of the daily production schedule and despatch department. You will contribute to the overall efficient Company operations by providing planning that effectively minimises waste production whilst generating a maximum yield. Working in conjunction with other departments of the business, you will have a critical involvement in meeting the demands of the customer in terms of product delivery times. You will have oversee the despatch and production administration functions as directed to ensure that they contribute to departmental output which meets the demands of all business stakeholders whilst in accordance with the Company Quality Systems. Working in an efficient and safe manner you will add to the overall productivity and profitability of the Company.
Key Capabilities to includeReceive orders from the Sales Department and enter on to the computerised system including set-up of products codes on the finished goods stock control.To prepare and plan daily production that reflects minimum waste/cost and maximum yieldPrepare a master schedule to establish a sequence and lead times of secondary operationsAccelerate operations that delay or alter schedule Review stock levels and allocate to customer orders To provide the necessary documentation for production to meet the planned requirements in a timely and accurate mannerLiaise with Despatch Department in order to review stock levels and allocate as requiredLiaise with transport companiesBook any over make stock into the stock system Produce labels from order draftReview line end inspection records to ensure stock output reconciles to planning scheduleControl and monitor all employees with the production control/despatch departmentTake an active role in adhering to the Company Health and Safety Policy
As a Production Co-ordinator:
The ideal candidate would be a confident communicator and ideally have experience of the construction and manufacturing industries. The ideal candidate would also:Demonstrate experience of working in a production planning role preferably within a manufacturing environmentA versatile self starter with a positive attitudeAbility to work with a diverse workloadStrong organisational skillsAbility to handle multiple responsibilities on a regular basisExperience of working with computer systemsAbility to work under pressureAbility to follow instructions to meet deadlinesStrong IT skills, predominantly ExcelGood written and verbal communicatorKnowledge of an ERP system and experience of working with an ISO 9001 Management system would be an advantage

Working hours are 8.45 – 5pm Monday – Thursday and 8.45 – 4.30pm Friday.
