Location - Central LondonOne of the world's leading publishing company is looking for a Data Scientist to join their Advanced Analytics and Data Science team.Core to this role will be to establish a strong data science function, supporting and working in partnership with the product management team.
The Data Scientist will bring about significant improvement in user experience and product change, through harnessing big data. The Data Scientist will deliver impactful data driven strategies that solve hard problems and offer innovative recommendations on commercial product strategies and user journeys.
Work with the business to identify business problems. Work with the product management team to prioritize and resolve these to create value
Identify relevant data sources and combine/synthesize them, conducting deep dive analysis as appropriate, where relevant cleaning the data to ensure consistency.
Model, predict, and classify consumer behaviour and make recommendations to the Product team to optimize user journeys and identify opportunities for optimizing user experience and enhancing commercial return
Identify the optimal approach and conduct statistical analysis and modelling to meet specific requirements. This might include techniques such as regression; correlation, CHAID, factor analysis, and large-scale data mining techniques to discover and identify actionable patterns in the data
Present the results of analysis in easily digestible formats in order to facilitate a greater understanding of user behaviour, monetization and retention
Research and work with large datasets to understand user behaviour, monetization, retention, audience modelling, visualization and other statistical analyses
Act as the business owner on any software development of tools that that enables others to work with data effectively. Where relevant, build/create those tools
Be identified as a product analytics/data science expert across the business
Develop a deep understanding of the analytics and reporting requirements of the Product team
