Hours Fulltime

Salary: £26,000

The Chelsea Community Hospital School is a Community Special School providing education to children and young people aged 4-18 while they are in hospital. We come under the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. We wish to recruit an Education Project Development and Marketing Manager who will report to the Head Teacher.

The main purpose of the job is to develop Marketing and Development programmes to further enhance the provision of support to students and to drive and deliver Marketing and Development strategies. You will assist the Head Teacher to ensure the school meets its aims.

The main duties will include:

·Marketing and Communications- devise and implement internal and external strategies, brand development, manage media relations and media coverage ( broadcast, print and social media), develop and manage relationships with external stakeholders

· Publicity Material, Website and e marketing- Update Facebook and Twitter accounts, create fresh web content and develop new e-marketing and direct marketing materials, prepare marketing collateral, prepare presentations to senior management

·Public Relations- Search out information for PR purposes and write press releases, maintain photo library, arrange media interviews, photo shoots and filming

·Fundraising- Management of income generation and fundraising activities, develop and review fundraising strategies, identify, cultivate and steward relationships with potential and existing donors, prepare effective fundraising plans to the Head Teacher, organise , project-manage, promote and advertise all fund raising events/activities

You will also be required to play an active part in the life of the Hospital School by organising events and trips for children with medical/mental health conditions. You will be required to develop and manage project opportunities which are appropriate to help support, growth and enhance student experience (artistic, musical, international collaborations etc.)

Our Ideal candidate will have

·Proven experience in a marketing and development/fundraising role within a school or hospital

·Degree in Marketing or related subject

·Proven track record of successfully delivering on financial and fundraising targets demonstrating both creative marketing and analytical skills

·Proven experience of generating substantial voluntary income and delivering growth in fund raising sectors through skilful and creative marketing and advertising

·Experience of managing educational projects

·Experience of presenting to senior management teams, external stakeholders and funders

·PR experience is essential

·Excellent IT skills and proficiency in MS Office, databases, website tools and preferably design packages

·Proven event organisational skills

·An in depth knowledge and experience of the hospital education sector would be an advantage

·Experience of working with children with medical /mental health conditions would be an advantage
