BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES AT AQR INTERNATIONAL

AQR International, established 25 years ago, is a business which has established a global reputation for development and delivery of high quality psychometrics which are offered to the occupational, education, social and sports worlds. Growth is strong.

Although most of its activities are delivered through a network of partners and distributors, AQR also operates directly in some sectors and territories. This includes provision of accredited programmes for coaches, trainers and business leader as well as consultancy. AQR is an international ILM Centre.

The core propositions are developing performance, improving well-being and developing positive behaviours and mind-sets for individuals and organisations. Much of that work revolves around the mental toughness model and the MTQ48 measure where AQR is acknowledged as a market leader.

We now have a need to add to our teams based in Chester. We have three vacancies. Two are with AQR UK and the other is with AQR International:

All are business development focused. Each will be expected to identify and secure clients for AQR as well as engaging with organisations which are suitable partners and distributors.

Business Development Manager – UK – Occupational Markets

Prime responsibility will be to develop productive relationships with organisations of all types, consultancies of all types and individuals in England and Wales.

Business Development Manager – UK – Education and Young Persons Markets

Prime responsibility will be to develop business with schools, colleges, universities and business schools in England and Wales.

Both roles are UK based and will work closely together and with existing members of the team. Some work in and travel overseas and into Scotland and Ireland is likely.

International Business Development Manager

Prime responsibility will be to work with the Directors to develop business with organisations across all sectors – partners and distributors as well as major international end users – around the world. AQR Currently has sales in 80 countries.

There will be significant opportunity for overseas travel.

In each of the roles, the manager will:

-Be involved in researching and planning business development strategy and activity

-Take action to secure appointments, meetings and presentations – face to face as well as by phone/VoIP

-Be involved in meetings and presentations, ensuring prompt and effective follow up

-Deliver presentations when needed and organise trials

-Deliver product and admin training to partners and clients.

We are looking for people with:

-at least 3 years relevant experience – a background in HR, training or psychology would be useful but not essential

-a genuine interest in and flair for commercial activity. This is essential.

-graduate or equivalent level of education/training

-a strong sense of commitment and goal orientation

-confidence to work on own initiative and the desire to stretch oneself

-energy – we work hard and have a lot to achieve
