Distilled is looking for an experienced Digital Marketing Consultant to work at our London office. You will be joining a team of digital marketing consultants who work with some of the biggest brands in the world, thrive on hard problems and have a knack for getting things done. The work we do covers a wide range of digital marketing disciplines including SEO, content strategy and creation, conversion rate optimisation, PPC and analytics.

This will be a client-facing role and you’ll be working directly with a wide range of businesses – from startups to worldwide brands – to help them grow online. This involves working closely to identify their needs, problems and objectives, and then mapping these to a digital marketing strategy. You will also be responsible for making sure this strategy is implemented using client teams or our own project specialists. We ensure that all our clients get the attention they deserve, so we tend to give each of our consultants no more than 4-5 clients at any one time.
Each client is different but a typical project can include:
Working with the client to identify their core problems and roadblocks
Performing market and customer research to see where the client sits in the marketplace and what types of customers they are looking to attract
Setting project objectives which you will be measured on, and which will make a difference to the client’s business
Setting a strategy in line with these objectives, and a timeline for implementation
Delegating work to project specialists within Distilled such as our creative and outreach teams
Communicating regularly with the client through phone calls, email and meetings
Running training sessions, workshops and working from client offices
Ultimately, you will be accountable for all work carried out on the projects that you lead. You must be comfortable with taking ownership of problems as well as solutions, and ensuring that your clients are happy with the work you do and that it meets their business objectives.About you
You will have more than three years’ experience working in digital marketing and will have driven exceptional results for your clients. During that time, you will have developed a range of skills including:
Strong understanding of business strategy and how to identify business problems
On-site and technical SEO knowledge
Understanding of content strategy and creation
Experience doing market and customer research
Analysis of large datasets including strong knowledge of web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics and Omniture
Optimising sales funnels for better conversion
Confident client-facing skills including running meetings and presenting to executives
