An excellent career opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor with our client, one of the largest main contractors in the UK within their Planned refurbishment and Maintenance Divisions. Our client has become the one of the principle maintenance and refurbishment contractors with projects across London and the South East across multiple sectors, including Residential, Decent Homes and Social Housing Following the acquisition of many new and exciting schemes, our client is keen to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support in the formulation of contractual strategies relating to these projects as well as the projects procurement function from tender to awarding the subcontract and then up to completion. Duties •Dealing with project costing's; having a sound working knowledge of the project. •Provide statistics and additional surveying information for customer meetings. •Place subcontractor orders in accordance with the main contract. •Produce site records for account payments, cost reports and materials. •Monitor and ensure full payment is received for work claimed and certified. •Liaise with customer representatives •Measure works for allocated sections of the projects for final accounts, including recording agreements with subcontractors The Candidate •Previous experience in working on planned and reactive maintenance projects is essential, together with experience working within social hosuing projects and/or decent homes •A high standard or written and verbal communication. •The ability to interoperate data and have sounds reasoning skills, •A strong focus on customers’ requirements. •Previous experience with transport is desirable. •A BSc in Quantity Surveying or a HND in Quantity Surveying is desirable.
