Assistant Project Manager
Due to their continuous success and growth in the Manchester office, they are seeking an Assistant Project Manager or Building Surveyor (with 2+ years experience) who would like to gain more experience in Project Management.
This slightly smaller top tier consulting firm is extremely progressive and dynamic in its approach to growing its business and is looking to invest in a talented candidate who would like to utilise their current skill set, gain further PM experience and make a transition into a Project Management specialisation.
This is the perfect opportunity for an ambitious and talented Building Surveyor who would like to transition to the more lucrative and exciting realm of Project Management. This role will provide exposure to larger projects and will suit a candidate who is proactive about growing with the company and who is commercially astute. You may also already be a PM with a few years under your belt and would like to make the move to better project work with a more prestigious consultancy and gaining better exposure and more responsibility.
The candidate will be involved with a broad spectrum of sectors to provide a diverse experiential background. The candidate will work alongside the team in delivering rebuild, refurbishments and new build commercial, retail, mixed use and education projects ranging from £2m - £50m.
Project Manager ResponsibilitiesPlanning, management, co-ordination and financial control of a variety of construction projects within the mixed use and high end residential sectors.Work alongside a team delivering complex projects to rigorous time and budgetary constraints. Business development including bid preparation and attending tender presentations.Supporting the senior management team to manage existing projects / commissions.
Project Manager Requirements:Recent and significant work in the UK market, ideally in the commercial and other sectors.Degree qualified and ideally some of your APC diary signed off if not already MRICSHave experience in the life cycle of projectsFrom a construction consultancy background/ Building surveying practise or top end fit out Project management contractorSome travel will be required in association with this role.
