£20,000 to £22,000 per annum

Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.30pm

We are a long established, successful and growing builder’s merchants and retailer based in Park Royal, NW10 who needs an experienced and enthusiastic person to join our growing Accounts Department

You will have experience in Book Keeping and an understanding of purchase ledger including the requirement to perform the tasks well. Your duties will include but not limited to:

Processing a high volume of purchase invoices for stock, with appropriate checking to Purchase orders and delivery documentationProcessing of expense (overheads) invoices with appropriate descriptions and net amounts allocated to different cost centres as necessaryInput of purchase invoice into system – to appropriate nominal ledger accountsChecking invoice amounts are correctly calculated and differences from Purchase orders investigated To deal with supplier queries efficiently and effectivelyTo assist the Accounts Department in other matters as necessaryAccuracy and attention to detail are of paramount importancePrevious experience in an Accounts roleGood keyboard skills – Excel, Word etcGood telephone mannerOrganisedPositive attitude to work and tasks

·Comfortable doing a high volume data entry while maintaining focus and attention

Previous experience within a retail/wholesale environment is desirable, however if you can demonstrate your knowledge and experience we will be pleased to consider you.

To succeed you will require excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrate the ability to use and learn modern IT systems along with a positive attitude.
