PURPOSE OF ROLE

Main performance elements to the role:

 i) Weekly timesheet processing for over 500 employees

ii) Processing new starters

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Weekly timesheet processing for over 500 employees.Hourly reconciliations to identify operatives not processedProcessing new starter and holiday forms weeklyBeing responsible for weekly/monthly payroll processing including statutory payments and completing Year End procedures for allocated payrolls.Processing occupational and statutory sickness, maternity and paternity leave and administering pension schemesProcessing in line with HMRC regulations, PAYE and NI deductions.Accurately maintaining the HR system, including leavers and starters.Effectively resolving enquiries from clients, either face to face, by telephone, written or electronic communication.

KEY MEASURES & EXPECTED RESULTS

·Accurate processing of weekly timesheets and new starters

·Maintaining the HR system and keeping it up to date with new starter information

Essential Requirements 

·Good knowledge of Excel

·Attention to detail

·Ability to process accurate, high quality work under process

Desirable Requirements 

·Payroll qualification

·The ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing

·A high level of computer literacy with good keyboard skills

·Knowledge of weekly payroll processing and year end payroll processing
