You will report directly to an Assistant Director

Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Bookkeeper to join our team at our modern offices based in Woodford Green, Essex.

You would have full responsibility for all day to day accounting across the sales and purchase ledgers and be responsible for a variety of function including (but not limited to):

Bank ReconciliationDaily Cash AllocationPreparing cheques for Banking (reducing function)Credit ControlOpening New Accounts both sales and purchase LedgersSetting & reviewing credit limits in conjunction with senior managementObtaining company accountsDealing with sales personnel regarding difficult accountsProcessing EDI Purchase InvoicesEntering Suppliers Purchase Invoices manuallySuppliers electronic payment runVarious proving & control spreadsheetsProducing daily PDF sales invoicesDaily PostingEntering of company expenses

Your job would involve daily interaction with staff across different departments to ensure the smooth running of daily procedures.

The ability to be flexible is a key requirement especially as you would be dealing with Sales personnel. In this competitive industry we have to respond to potential new clients or existing clients as soon as possible whether it be opening of a new account or waiting on a credit decision on a large order.

You would also be given tasks and instruction from the Managing Director when required.

Bookkeeping role – Key Experience

Must have bookkeeping ExperienceHave a good knowledge of all general accounting proceduresDemonstrate an excellent relationships with Clients, Staff and suppliersProven track record
