Document controller - top 5 main contractor - London - 4 projects - temp - part time - attractive rateMy client is looking for a document controller with a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in the industry and it is vital that you have worked for a main contractor before, ideally a top 20 main contractor. it is also a requirement that the candidate be proficient in the usage of the BIW and 4Projects document control software packages. This role is predominantly based in central london.
Document controlSet up and configure a document control system, ensuring that it is tailored to suit the needs of the project. Help manage the information distribution involved in procurement using the document control system using 4 projectsMaintenance of accurate records of all drawings and other construction documents issued by consultants and contractors through each stage of the project. Process a large number of documents daily, including a thorough QA check, printing and review/ distribution, and electronic forwarding to create an accurate and comprehensive audit trail.Ensure that an effective internal review loop is maintained so that all documents are properly reviewed by the Project Team.Ensure that every drawing or other design document is received by the relevant trades and consultants; this involves being a final point check on any distribution marked by the Project Manager or Construction Manager.
