Mystery Shopping Invigilator ‘Responsible Adult’ Cosine are working closely with Camelot to conduct mystery shop ‘test purchases’ for the National Lottery in all retail sectors, as part of “Operation Child” “Operation Child” is a mystery test shopper programme, to observe the effectiveness of safeguards used by retailers with the aim of raising awareness of underage sales of national lottery products throughout all retail channels. Do you have excellent communication skills? Are you a natural leader? Are you well organized with the ability to work as part of a team and give direction, under pressure? Can you display excellent interpersonal skills together with a strong customer focused approach? Will you be able to act as ambassador for Camelot and the National Lottery? Responsible for working as part of a small team of 2, (Responsible Adult & Young Person) you will be required to observe the attempt of the young person to purchase a lottery product. If the young person is successful you will be required to reiterate the expectations of Camelot and inform the retailer of the next steps in the process. We are looking to speak to candidates who: • Have proven experience conducting mystery shopping / test purchases. • Experience of working within safeguarding guidelines desirable, yet not required • Can recruit a Young person (aged 16-18) to work with them to complete the test purchases (support can be provided in that recruitment if required) • Can Journey plan, within set postcode locations • Work flexibly through evenings and weekends • Take responsibility for Safeguarding the Young Person at all times • Capture all required information during the visit and ensure that the retailer is aware of the next steps. • Use of an android or IOS smart phone (for reporting purposes) As this is a field based role, you will be required to be an experienced driver who holds a clean driving license and have access to a car for the duration of the role. This role will require you to work evenings (4pm-8pm) and weekends/Bank Holidays (8am-8pm).
