There is nowhere more fast-paced than BMW.We’re looking for experienced, qualified, specialist assembly line technicians who can hit the ground running to relocate to Birmingham and join our team at Hams Hall. For homeowners there is even a competitive relocation allowance to assist in your move.You will operate on a rotating weekend shift pattern; night shifts 6pm - 6am Fri, Sat and Sunday.As a Control Technician, you’ll join a team of next generation maintenance specialists pushing the limits of modern manufacturing production systems. That means working at the forefront of cutting-edge technology, with the latest systems and control systems.As one of our technical experts, you’ll be the first point of call for, higher level fault diagnosis in software control systems and then implementation and development of proactive solutions. Setting and maintaining standards for the team, you’ll work at the highest level of the technical organisation. You’ll guide, coach and train the technical team to optimise and enhance the production equipment to improve efficiency within the production facility and the competence of the technical organisation.To be considered, you must have:- Experience in maintenance and/or control systems and software diagnostic procedures- Knowledge of Siemens S7 840D- An understanding of PLC, CNC and HMIs and automated operating systems- An automotive, FMCG, packaging or pharmaceutical background- An NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in an electrical or manufacturing machine tool discipline, gained as a time-served apprenticeThe ideal Control Technician will have membership of a related professional body.Hams Hall, near Birmingham, is a world-class manufacturing facility.
