Head of HR for a Public Sector Organisation to cover maternity leave in Manchester. 12 month contract paying up to £50k.
Reporting to the CEO, your remit will be to lead, develop and effectively manage the HR function DutiesImplement a people strategy and business objectives Implement integrated people management policiesLead the Human Resources department identifying and delivering development needs Develop an effective approach to performance managementProvide expert Human Resources advice to Directors and BoardEnsure that 'People' management information is delivered to the Board on a monthly basisProductive employee relationsManage the interface with external Human Resources bodiesPositively influence the culture of the organisation in order to deliver for its customers
Person SpecificationExperienced Head of HR, working at this level currently or in last role in a large complex organisation advising Internal and External StakeholdersExperience of Change Management strategiesPublic Sector background in most recent rolesExcellent working knowledge of employment lawProven track record in managing organisational change programmes successfully within a unionised environmentRecord of successfully developing and implementing strategies addressing major corporate issuesHighly competent Head of HR with a friendly, approachable attitude.Must commit for the duration of 12 monthsCIPD or FCIPD
