You would support with daily living skills & assistance with personal care, supporting individuals to access a range of educational, personal development and recreational activities that will promote independence and inclusion in the community. Community Support Assistants will work as part of a team and on a one to one basis, providing support, encouragement and companionship to those who need it. You will be supporting adults with learning disabilities, reduced mobility and those with mental health conditions. Their aim is to promote independence and choice, through supporting and teaching customers everyday life skills such as domestic duties, skills for accessing community facilities and pursuing hobbies.The Ideal Candidates Will Have:• Experience of supporting those with complex needs and behaviours that can challenge.• Ability to demonstrate a flexible approach to working hours to meet the needs of their customers.• Strong written and verbal communication skills, ensuring that you are easily understood.• Empathetic and good team player, committed to improving others’ quality of life.• Ability to support and encourage others in developing skills, such as preparing meals and domestic chores, promoting independence and personal development.Full and part time hours are available on a permanent basis.Shifts cover a 24/7 period including weekends and sleep-in shifts.Contracted Staff can enjoy great benefits, including:• High Street Discount Vouchers• Cycle To Work Scheme• Child Care Vouchers• Free DBS and ongoing trainingIf you are 18+ and have the right values for their organisation, you will be supported by a program of continuous training and development.
