Business Development Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a confident, proactive person with a strong focus on customer service, to join our member services team, based in the Midlands / North West, on a part time basis of 3 days per week.
Fram Farmers is one of the UK’s largest farmer-owned input purchasing and crop marketing Groups for professional arable and livestock farmers. We exist solely to serve and represent our significant Membership base, our goal being to provide them with an unequalled service, together with the very best value for money for the purchasing and crop marketing activities which we undertake on their behalf.
You will be responsible for a variety of activities including:
·Developing pro-active Member engagement programmes
·Promoting the products and services the group provides to its membership within the Midlands and North West
·Facilitating and attending seminars/shows/conferences
·Creating a network of suppliers by developing relationships with new and existing regionally based Suppliers
·Supporting the Group’s Member recruitment remit
·Working with colleagues across the business to ensure understanding of farmer / farming issues, minimise duplication and share best practice
To be considered for this position you will have a good standard of general education and excellent relationship building and communication skills. More importantly, you will have gained hands on experience within the agriculture sector; as well as negotiating and providing a high standard of customer service. An agriculture based degree would be an advantage but is not essential.
In return for your communication skills, energy and enthusiasm you will be rewarded with a competitive salary of c£35,000 - £40,000 fte plus benefits, whilst gaining the opportunity to work within a progressive, career focused environment as part of a lively, professional team.
