Finance and IT Manager

Permanent  for BID Services in Birmingham

BID Services Finance and IT Manager What we are looking for:

The successful candidate will be able to combine hands-on delivery of financial and other services with high level proactive advice, and will have:

Experience of financial management within a small/medium sized organisation, preferably one dependent on project or contract-related funding. This could be a charitable organisation, a research body, a consultancy, legal or professional services firm, academia or similar. Ideally, finance-related qualifications, but experience in performing relevant functions is more important. [Essential]Experience of strategic development of organisational IT infrastructure. Good working knowledge of Microsoft products. A good understanding of mobile devices.Experience of staff management of a mixed team in a similar environment; good interpersonal skills [Essential]An ability to communicate complex information effectively to a variety of audience, both verbally and in writing. [Essential]Ability to engage and influence a range of stakeholders including the Board of Trustees, Service Managers, support staff within the organisation and external providers of support services. [Essential]A proactive and self-motivated approach to management of an administratively lean organisation [Desirable]Knowledge of corporate and/or charity governance procedures or ability to quickly get up to speed. [Desirable]Experience of change management: experience of introducing new systems/processes/ways of working in a medium sized organisation [Desirable]

Financial rewards and benefits

The starting salary will depend on the expertise and experience that successful candidate brings to the role but is expected to be in the region of £46,000.

There will be a requirement to attend occasional evening meetings.
